What we collect
When you upload a photo, we collect: the image file, the title and story you wrote, your display name, the city and country you tagged. That's it. We don't collect your real name, address, phone number, or anything you didn't put in the form yourself.
When you visit any page, your browser sends standard request data: IP address, browser type, the page you came from. We use this for security and basic analytics. We don't sell it.
What we store on your device
We use browser local storage to remember your language preference and which photos you've voted for. That data stays on your device and never leaves it. You can clear it any time from your browser settings.
Who sees your photos
Uploaded photos are public. They can be viewed, shared, and embedded by anyone. By uploading, you confirm you have the right to share the photo and you grant SMYC permission to display it on this platform and in our newsletters and marketing.

Currently we don't use third-party analytics or advertising cookies. If we add them, we'll update this page and ask for your consent.
Your rights
You can request deletion of any photo you uploaded by emailing privacy@showmeyourcountry.com with the photo URL.
